Exhibition Featured in Wall Street Journal
The November 26th edition of the Wall Street Journal featured an article, "Trying Build a Better Mousetrap," on the exhibition of the Rothschild Collection at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The exhibition
features 32 one-of-a-kind models, few of which were ever put into production. They're from the collection of Alan Rothschild, who owns a medical-supply company near Syracuse, N.Y. Over the past two decades, he has amassed some 4,000 U.S. patent models—the innovative, handmade and, at times, absurd maquettes that accompanied patent applications in the 19th century.
The article related the stores behind several of the more interesting models in the collection.
